BORDER COUNTIES CONNECTED THOUGH ART

ART EXHIBITION 2016: CHURCHES TRUST

An Art Exhibition will be taking place for two during the run up to Christmas at the Garden of Reflection gallery, 16 Bishop Street, Derry.  This Exhibition is held in aid of supporting the work of the Churches Trust.

The Churches Trust was founded by the leaders of the mainstream churches over 20 years ago who recognised the need to work with a united voice to address the level of deprivation in the area. We work with those experiencing food poverty, the unemployed, the elderly, individuals and families disadvantaged through low education attainment and low income levels.  In all our work, we represent churches standing together for a shared and better future.

The Exhibition preview will open on Friday, 9th December at 7pm with a wine reception and the opportunity to meet some of the artists whose work will be displayed.   It will run daily until Thursday 22nd December.

Over 30 local artists from the Donegal/Derry area exhibit their work with many original paintings on display in various mediums such as oil, watercolour and acrylic. The exhibition promises to be an unparalleled collection of local art showcasing the work of established artists of national and international fame and also offering emerging artists the opportunity to bring their works to a public gallery.

The exhibition is open to all who would like to call in and experience this wonderful tranquil setting to view paintings from a wealth of local talent in this area.
